Practice Transformation Coaching
The HRSA Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Technical Assistance (COE for BHTA) offers responsive virtual and onsite practice transformation (PT) coaching to BPHC-funded Health Center Programs across the country. Once engaged, the COE for BHTA PT team will collaborate with you to assess your current integration state, work towards organizational goals, and provide tailored coaching to increase integration and implementation of behavioral health services in your health center. The COE for BHTA PT team provides tailored coaching on a variety of behavioral health integration topics, including but not limited to: leadership buy-in; provider and staff buy-in; staffing; workforce development; teamwork; quality improvement; workflow redesign; referral and handoffs; patient-centered care; integrated service models; clinical delivery; screening for mental health services; screening for substance use; medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and/or Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) training and implementation; financial sustainability, including payment models; and, health information technology. We will reach out to you within three business days of your request. PT coaching timeline and frequency will be determined individually with each health center. Participating in coaching sessions will require some staff and leadership time and commitment.
